Happy Birthday, Jim

This my brother Jimmy - the middle brother. Doesn't this picture just scream birthday boy.
I know all of you Conways are saying "That wasn't his birthday".  I know, I know, but it is so cute.  Love to all my brothers!  But for the rest of today especially to my brother Jim.
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

P.S. I am also crazy about my two sisters.
I love these pictures of Jim.  I hope you had a great day.

Liam's 9 month photos

Another month has gone bye already.  Liam is more fun than I could image.  He and his parents are great house guests and I won't know what to do when they are no longer here.  I am getting a reputation in the neighborhood.  I have lived here for eight years and manage to stay below the radar.  Pretty much just come and go no fanfare.  Since Liam has been here we walk the the Publix Supermarket quite often.  Last week I was there without Liam and one of the young bag boys asked me "Where's the baby?"  WOW! Someone notice and remembered me.  The power of the baby.

The very cute shirt is courtesy of Aunt Beth's store - Bubbles and Bubbles.

Just the best!

I need a new camera!

This one sucks at taking videos. It will not happen anytime soon. I think I have had it for four years. Doesn't everything wear out after 4 years... cars, cameras, presidents. Oh yeah not enough of us thought the president was worn out in 2004 and now look where we are.

Let the Election fun begin.

I DID IT!!!!

Last week I got the shiny red Beetle.  I have no sense, but is the same monthly payment and I didn't have to buy the new tires for the Golf.  USAA tells me that the premiums are $74.00 less every six months.  I don't get that either.  It probably has more to do with the fact that it is more that three years since my accident.  See for yourself.
Don't you just love it?

I love my computer so much.

It is cute (so important that I made it #1), reliable and my constant companion when I am at home.  Yesterday when I was lifting the top to open it I thought how amazing it is that everything I want or need to know is right inside here and that someone was smart enough to put everything together in this small package.  I have had this laptop for four years in October and we are still in love.
That being said we have had only one conflict.  Right after Liam was born it decided it didn't like the videos I took with my digital camera.  It shuts down what ever program I use to install the video.  I know the problem is the camera, but today I tricked both of them and finally got a video on my desktop and was able to upload it to youtube and then post it here on my blog.  This is major.  I know you are asking why is she rambling on about this.  Well because the following video was taken today and it is of Liam in the bathtub.  I know Jessi already has a bath video on her blog, but I am so happy to have gotten camera and computer to cooperate today that you are going to have to sit through another bath video.  ENJOY.

Bathtime with Liam.

I can't sleep!

It's 4:30AM and it is a holiday.  Why am I not sleeping in?  I can't seem to decide what to do with my car.  My lease is up on September 12th and what should I do? do? do?  Buy the car I only settled for in 2004 after my accident or get a shiny new something?  I went today to test drive a bright red 2008 Beetle.   It was red...I say I don't want a RED car.  I has a sunroof...I say I can't afford those kind of bells and whistles...I has a beige "Leatherette" interior...I can't be trusted with beige interior.  Of course, they promise that they can guarantee that I can have the exact same payment I have been making right now.  And even thought the salesperson said that this was their last model left, the manager said that he might be able to find another color than red.  I did manage to walkout.  I don't know how much of a power play that was, because now I want that stupid RED car.
It was soooo shiny!  Oh to be rich and asleep.  YAWN!

P.S. It has an iPod connector.  Wahoo Wahoo.

I HATE Hurricanes!

You would think by now some smart person would have thought of some way to break up hurricanes.  I swear when I was little (meaning a lot younger) I remember newscasters talking about Hurricane hunters flying into the eye of the storm and seeding it with something.  Of course, I don't remember what the something was, but I am sure I heard them say it was "to break up the storm".  Even if my memories are wacky, you would think that someone would be trying something to stop a disaster that we watch for days to happen.
I propose:
1.) Giant blocks of ice to cool the water in the Gulf of Mexico.  2.) Large fans along the west coast of Florida to blow the storm to Mexico. 3.) Have Superstar swimmer Michael Phelps lasso it a pull it out of the way of poor New Orleans and the Gulfcoast   I can't believe the major insurance companies aren't funding researching for some of these options.
This is a call to all the young people of the world get to work inventing and you will be a hero.

Look at this picture!

WoW!  My sister Peggy took this picture in her backyard.  I am impressed.  You can see the hummingbird's little tongue.  In my backyard we have ugly dirty ducks.  This sweet hummingbird seem very charming in comparison.
