Beth's Birthday

I have got to hurry to get this up before midnight.  I wanted to say Happy Birthday to my first born by scanning pictures on to the blog, but like every thing I do I get distracted and it takes twice as long as it should.  I would like to get these in the right order.  P.S.  I have given up on the order.

This is terrible, but I think Beth is 7, Amy is 5, Jackie is 3, and Chris is 1.

This picture is Beth and Grandma King. On the back she wrote "My first Grandchild" and then inserted the word Great.  Then she wrote "Grandma and Beth O'Neill 1966 Summer"

This is a wonderful moment and I am glad it is in the computer and safe from anymore aging.

A day with Liam.

Liam was vomiting on Wednesday and as luck would have it I had Thursday off.  He was a prefect angel and never vomited even once under my watch.  We started out by walking to the library. We arrived at 9:45AM and it didn't open until 10:00AM.  So I pushed him around the building and by the time we came back to the main entrance - he was asleep.  So we started the walk back home. I stopped at Dunkin Donuts for coffee - he slept.  When we got back to the house I put him in bed and he slept for about 40 more minutes.  He woke up and we went outside to play for awhile.

The best part was that he waited until after he went to bed at night and Chris was on duty to vomit again.  It was a perfect day with Liam.

Happy Easter

15 Months

More Bob and Jackie.

Bob, Jackie, and I went to an art show today on Las Olas in Ft Lauderdale.  Then we went to visit Beth at her store and then to eat a very nice lunch.  They are leaving to drive back to Chicago on Tuesday.  

Liam

I think Liam looks a little like me.

My Mom sent me this picture of me. I pretty sure it is either my first birthday or my second Christmas. They are only four days apart so we won't split hairs. Because "hairs" is the feature that is very similar in my picture and the picture of Liam. And to my Mom thank you so much for sending this to me. I love telling the story that I got so many dolls for my first birthday and Christmas that you put them away and gave me one every month. I probably made up the story, but I think it is right.

A visit from Bob and Jackie.

Bob and Jackie came to visit on the same Sunday as the race. I RACED home and started a Pot Roast. I also made this chocolate cake from scratch. Something I don't think I have ever done before. It's a great recipe from the "Smitten Kitchen" blog. The plate is a mess, but the cake was really delicious. It has a cup of Guinness Stout as part of the ingredients, so how could it be bad.
We had a nice visit and got all caught up with the news from Chicago and D.C.

Brett Runs a Half Marathon-2-23-09

Brett started running not that long ago. I will guess maybe last August-September. He finished the Ft. Lauderdale A1A Half Marathon in 2:40:43. He did better that his last month's run in Miami, so he was pretty happy. Beth, Jessi, Liam and I went down to cheer him on at the finish.

And then we went and had a nice brunch on the intercoastal

And Ben is going to be on Leno!

This Thursday Ben is going to be on Jay Leno.  He playing the song from "Slumdog Millionaire", Jai Ho. He will be playing with A.R. Rahman.

I love that song.  I fear it will become this wedding season's Macarena.

Great Day

What a great day.  A change is always good.

But!  OH! TOMORROW!!!!!

Liam has a cold.

As you can see it is not in his chest.  From his x-ray (swearshirt), his lungs look clear.
